I got a call a couple of days ago asking if I wanted to play a charity show in Berlin tonight…

The event is organised by the Junge Helden Verein which aims to raise awareness for organ donation.

It was very short notice, but it’s a great cause so of course I said yes! Am looking forward to playing and meeting some young heroes.

The flyer is attached – my name is at the bottom written in white – trust me, it’s there =)

Played a cool gig on monday night in Ponybar which is a great place for a little acoustic show.

Was opening up for the lovely Valery Gore from Toronto. She is an independent artist as well, and has also funded the production of her two albums herself… Piano pop in the regina spektor, ben folds direction. It was nice to meet another troubadour who is just doing her thing.

I have been playing a lot of piano myself lately, but think I won’t be playing in public anytime soon!

Will just stick to my trusty guitar for the time being…. Time to go pick it up =)

Someone told me recently that my music reminded them of sunshine, which I thought was kinda cool. I guess living in such a cold city has inspired me to try and stay warm, metaphorically at least…

Speaking of sunshine, summer is slowly starting here in the burg. Is yet to really get going, but there is some light at the end of the proverbial long grey tunnel.

Also on that note: I will be playing a sunny set this sunday at the Karoviertel Straßenfest (Marktstraße) from 1630 – 1730, with my friends from the Mobile Blues Club who have a stage there. Can’t promise nice weather but good vibes are guaranteed!

I played at the Music Quickie in Feldstern last night – in other words – 3 songs only, no encore allowed.

It certainly was, as they proudly say, “the shortest concert in the world”… By the way – for those wondering, I sang: find your way, make me believe & little bird.

It got me thinking though: what songs from my album would you choose for a music quickie?

After my foray into the Austrian Alps last week, tonight I am playing my album for the first time in front of a french audience – well in a french bistro at least =)

The place is called Bistro Tati, a pretty little place in Eimsbüttel – and also technically part of the french empire*

Come down for some delicious wine, great food, and music provided by moi – ô joie!

Happy easter everyone,

Tonight I am traveling to the ski resort town of Lech in Austria, as I will be playing a show there tomorrow evening at the Aurelio Hotel.

It is my first time playing in dem schönen Österreich – and I am exited!  I’m also looking forward to the fresh alpine air, though it will probably be just as fresh as Hamburg at the moment…
