in der schönen Schweiz
What a great way to start the tour…. 3 awesome shows in one of the worlds most beautiful countries. I have been to switzerland many times, yet still get rendered speechless after every visit by the incessant incredible landscapes, countless sparkling emerald blue lakes against a backdrop of stunning snow capped mountains.
We opened the tour with a show at Amboss Rampe in Zürich, a really funky place that brews its own beer and also roasts its own coffee…. Both are delicious and needless to say we were buzzing before the gig even started.
On Friday we played at the Tonart Festival in picturesque Altdorf, which as I found out was the place where Wilhem Tell did his famous apple shot.
The final swiss stop was on Saturday at the cosy Musigbistrot in the capital city of Bern…. Though I was disappointed to find out (on stage) that Berner Würstel don’t actually come from Bern, I still had a great show and the audience was great.
Thanks very much to Alex Klauck for keeping the groove and setting a cracking pace with the gin and tonics. Switzerland, I will be back soon!
The tour continues this week in Germany with Max Grösswang on percussion…. Deutschland ich komme 🙂
